Russia launches biggest attack against Kiev in weeks.

Moscow carried out a large-scale attack against the Ukrainian capital in the early hours of November 15, using approximately 430 drones and 18 missiles, including ballistic and aeroballistic weaponry. The bombardment continued throughout the night, leaving at least six dead and about 30 wounded, including two children and a pregnant woman.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as deliberately calculated, with the aim of causing maximum damage to civilian people and infrastructure. The missiles caused fires in residential buildings in several districts of Kyiv, mainly affecting residential areas.

The bombing comes at a critical time for Ukraine, as Russian forces advance in the south of the country. Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from several villages in Zaporizia during intense fighting against Moscow's forces.

Chile chooses new president in polarized election.

Chile will hold presidential elections this Sunday with two radically opposed candidates: Yanet Hara, from the communist left, and José Antonio Caz, representing the far-right. The contest marks the end of the term of Gabriel Boric, a left-leaning president.

The campaign reflects a deep division in Chilean society. Issues such as public safety, crime, and migration dominate the electoral debate. Polls indicate a close election, with both candidates intensely mobilizing their bases.

US and China negotiate agreement on rare earths.

The United States is seeking to finalize a trade agreement with China on rare earth elements by Thanksgiving (November 27). According to the US Treasury Secretary, negotiations are progressing in London.

Last month, Washington agreed not to impose tariffs on 100% of rare earth minerals on Chinese imports while negotiations continue. Rare earth minerals are critical for technology, defense, and renewable energy, making the agreement strategic for both powers.

Trump signals military action in Venezuela.

US President-elect Donald Trump has stated that he has already made a decision regarding possible military action in Venezuela, although he has not released details. The statement increases tensions in the region and international concerns about armed intervention.
