Over the past 24 hours, Kyiv has suffered a massive attack involving approximately 430 drones and 18 missiles, including ballistic and aeroballistic missiles, launched by Russian forces. The bombardment continued throughout the night and into the early morning, causing at least six deaths and about 30 injuries, including two children and a pregnant woman. Residential buildings were set on fire in several districts of the Ukrainian capital. President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as deliberate, aimed at causing maximum damage to civilian infrastructure and the population.
This attack comes at a time when Russia is advancing in southern Ukraine, with Ukrainian forces retreating in several villages in the Zaporizia region after intense fighting.
