Conflict in Ukraine: Moscow launches massive attack against Kiev.
In the early morning of November 15, 2025, the Ukrainian capital Kyiv suffered a large-scale attack by Russian forces, who used approximately 430 drones and 18 missiles, including ballistic and aeroballistic missiles. The attack caused at least six deaths and left about 30 injured, including two children and a pregnant woman. Fires were reported in residential buildings in several districts of the city.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as "deliberately calculated" to cause maximum damage to civilians and infrastructure. The incident comes at a time when Russia has been advancing in southern Ukraine, particularly in the Zaporizia region, where Ukrainian forces have withdrawn from several villages following intense fighting.
Elections in Chile: Polarization between left and far right.
Chile is preparing for a presidential runoff election marked by polarization between communist activist Yanet Hara and far-right candidate José Antonio Caz. The contest comes four years after the government of President Gabriel Boric, who failed to win re-election. Central to the election are public security and migration, issues that have generated social tension in the country.
Analysts point out that the election reflects a scenario of popular dissatisfaction with the current government and a search for radical changes, whether to the left or the right. The result could redefine the political course of Chile in the coming years.
