Brazil approves R$ 14 billion for innovation in 2025.

Between January and September 2025, Finep and BNDES have already approved R$14 billion in credit for innovation projects, equaling the total approved in 2023. Since 2023, the two institutions have allocated R$57.7 billion to digitalization, disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and Eve's flying car. This amount is 209% higher than the 2019-2022 period, showing a significant leap in support for Brazilian industrial innovation.

Aloizio Mercadante, president of BNDES, emphasizes that these investments generate skilled jobs, increase productivity, and place the national industry on a new level, aligned with the recognition of innovation by this year's Nobel Prize in Economics.

Brazil strengthens its international presence in technology.

At Web Summit 2025, held in Lisbon, Brazil was represented by over 300 startups, organized by institutions such as ApexBrasil and Atlantic Hub. The Brazilian delegation, with 250 startups, highlights the maturity of the ecosystem and its focus on internationalization, especially in artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social impact.

Companies like Ultracom and Instituto Priority have already expanded operations to Portugal, demonstrating concrete results of Brazil's international strategy. The country has evolved from observer to protagonist in the global innovation debate.

Brazilian agricultural innovation shines at Agritechnica 2025

Nine Brazilian companies participated in Europe's largest agricultural technology fair, showcasing advanced solutions such as SaveFarm®, a selective spraying system that reduces herbicide use by up to 95%. The system is already used on more than 200 farms in Latin America.

Brazil launches CAR as a Digital Public Asset at COP30

At COP30, the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI) launched the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) as Brazil's first Digital Public Good, integrating open technology, sustainability, and international cooperation. The launch is part of the Solutions Acceleration Plan (PAS), a global initiative led by Brazil to share digital public technologies for climate.

Minister Esther Dweck emphasized that the initiative combines technological innovation, transparency, and social impact, promoting efficiency and cost reduction, as well as strengthening the state's capacity to address climate challenges with social justice.
