Brazil boosts startups at Web Summit Lisbon 2025
Brazil has a strong presence at Web Summit Lisbon 2025, one of the largest global technology and innovation events, with a delegation of over 370 startups and innovative companies from all regions of the country. Organized by ApexBrasil in partnership with Sebrae, the Brazil Pavilion was officially inaugurated on November 11th, bringing together authorities such as the presidents of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, and Sebrae, Décio Lima, as well as diplomatic representatives and innovation managers.
The event, which takes place from November 10th to 13th in the Portuguese capital, expects to receive more than 70,000 participants, offering Brazilian startups a platform to present scalable solutions with the potential for international expansion. According to Jorge Viana, president of ApexBrasil, the commitment is to strengthen the internationalization of these companies, positioning Brazil as a protagonist in the global technological landscape.

Launch of the Rural Environmental Registry as a Digital Public Asset at COP30
At COP30, held on November 11, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) launched the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) as Brazil's first Digital Public Good. Internationally recognized by the Digital Public Goods Alliance, the CAR is a public technological solution that combines transparency, traceability, and sustainability, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Minister Esther Dweck highlighted that technology must go hand in hand with sustainability and social justice, emphasizing the role of CAR as a concrete example of digital innovation applied to climate action.
Advances in the modernization of the State and digital transformation in Latin America
At the 30th International Congress of CLAD, in Asunción, Paraguay, Brazil presented its progress in modernizing the State and federative articulation for digital transformation. Secretary Francisco Gaetani, from the Ministry of Government, highlighted the agenda focused on Human Resources Management, Digital Transformation, and Public Organizations, emphasizing that democracy depends on an efficient and engaged State.
