Petrobras approves dividends of R$ 12.16 billion in 2025.

Petrobras announced the payment of dividends totaling R$12.16 billion, with the exact distribution method between dividends and interest on equity to be defined by December 11, 2025. The state-owned company's net profit in the third quarter was US$6.03 billion, an increase of 2.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, driven by record oil exports and increased production in the pre-salt layer.

Fernando Melgarejo, Petrobras' CFO, highlighted that, despite the drop in the price of Brent crude over the last twelve months, the company managed to offset the impact by increasing production to more than 2.5 million barrels per day. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was US$11.73 billion, up 2.21% compared to 2024.

Tax reform puts pressure on companies to adapt.

A survey by the technology company V360 revealed that most Brazilian companies have not yet adapted to the changes in the tax reform that will come into effect on January 1, 2026. Among the main challenges are the issuance and verification of the new invoices, which will have approximately 200 new fields requiring adjustment.

The survey indicates that 671,300 companies do not use automated tools for validating tax documents, which can increase the risk of delays and inconsistencies. This lack of adaptation can lead to billing freezes and difficulties in paying suppliers, affecting cash flow and business continuity.
