Brazil boosts startups at Web Summit Lisbon 2025

With over 370 startups and innovative companies, the Brazilian delegation was coordinated by ApexBrasil in partnership with Sebrae, showcasing scalable solutions with potential for international expansion.

Another recent highlight is Brazil's selection to host, for the first time outside of China, the world's largest event in the solar energy sector. This decision reinforces Brazil's leading role in the renewable energy market, especially in solar energy, which has been growing rapidly in the country.

This international event in Brazil should boost investments and strategic partnerships, as well as consolidate the country as a global hub for clean and sustainable technologies.

New phase of Contrata+Brasil strengthens family farming.

In the area of public business, the Brazilian government launched a new phase of the Contrata+Brasil program during COP30 on November 11th, to expand public procurement of food from family farms. The platform connects public bodies to suppliers in a simplified way and now integrates the Food Acquisition Program, promoting social, economic, and climate policies.

Authorities such as Minister Esther Dweck and Ministers Wellington Dias and Paulo Teixeira highlighted the importance of the initiative for strengthening the socio-bioeconomy and sustainability, with symbolic actions such as purchasing food, including açaí, in the Legal Amazon.
