Brazil will have one of the five most powerful AI supercomputers.

Brazil is poised to join the select group of five countries with the world's most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputers. The equipment will be used to strengthen data security and national digital sovereignty, as announced by the federal government. This investment is part of the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan, which foresees investments of up to R$23 billion by 2028, consolidating the country as a leader in advanced technology.

Innovation and sustainability are key features of recent events and projects.

Last week, Brazil hosted the first edition of Digital Week in Santos, an event that brought together more than 100 speakers, including the CEO of WhatsApp, and highlighted trends in digital security, AI, and digital transformation. Simultaneously, the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) announced the launch of the first national satellite, 100%, which will be launched in November for climate monitoring, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and the environment.

Furthermore, Embrapii launched a public call for proposals to train research groups in the Northern Region, focusing on green technologies, with a planned investment of R$153 million. These initiatives reflect Brazil's ongoing effort to combine technology and sustainability.

Technology market expanding and increasing value for professionals.

Brazil is the highest payer of technology salaries in Latin America, according to the report "The State of Global Compensation 2025". Engineers and data scientists earn an average of US$67,000 annually, with a particular emphasis on skills in AI and data analysis. The market follows the global growth trend, with 75% of medium and large Brazilian companies planning to increase IT investments this year, according to a study by ABES and IDC.

The use of AI has become strategic for Brazilian companies, with 96% of them already using or planning to use this technology in the next 12 months, aiming for greater operational efficiency and a better customer experience.
