This initiative aims to boost data science and regional technological development, strengthening the national AI ecosystem.

Brazilian presence at Europe's largest agricultural fair.

At Agritechnica 2025, Europe's largest agricultural technology fair held in Hanover, nine Brazilian companies are presenting innovative solutions for agribusiness. Among the highlighted technologies is the SaveFarm® system, which uses advanced AI algorithms for selective spraying, reducing herbicide use by up to 95%. Currently, the system is adopted by more than 200 farms in Latin America, consolidating Brazil as a global reference in agritech.

New rules for the use of social media and AI in Brazil

The Brazilian government is preparing changes to legislation for 2026 that will raise the recommended age for using social media to 16, while messaging apps will be recommended for users 12 and older. Interestingly, the age recommendation for AI chatbots has been lowered to 14. These measures are part of the Digital ECA (Statute of Children and Adolescents), which requires platforms and app stores to verify users' ages and block content inappropriate for children and adolescents, affecting giants like Apple, Google, Meta, and TikTok.

The streaming and gaming technology market is booming.

Prime Video has surpassed Netflix and become the most popular streaming service in Brazil, according to recent data. In the gaming segment, Logitech launched the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c mouse, weighing only 51 grams and with a 95-hour battery life, developed in collaboration with eSports athletes, reinforcing the demand for professional and competitive equipment.

Impacts and perspectives

These movements reflect the growing integration of technology in strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy, such as agriculture, entertainment, and digital regulation. Investment in AI and technological innovation promises to enhance the country's competitiveness on the global stage, while regulation seeks to protect younger users in an increasingly complex digital environment.
