Brazil advances in AI and agricultural technology.

Brazil reinforced its global presence in technology and innovation this week, highlighting advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge agricultural solutions. The country participated in Agritechnica 2025, Europe's largest agricultural technology fair, and announced new investments in AI and data science.

European trade fair consolidates Brazilian leadership.

Nine Brazilian companies were present at Agritechnica 2025 in Hannover, Germany. The national pavilion showcased more than five agricultural machines and implements, including planters, harvesters, and sprayers with AI. Solutions such as SaveFarm®, which uses advanced algorithms for selective spraying, are already used on more than 200 farms in Latin America, reducing herbicide use by up to 95%.¹.

Investments in AI and digital sovereignty

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) announced an investment of R$35 million to boost research and development in AI in Piauí. The focus is on strengthening digital sovereignty and accelerating innovations in data science.². The new national supercomputer, named Jaci, was also presented, reinforcing the country's capacity in climate forecasting and environmental monitoring.².

Environmental impact and international cooperation

Minister Luciana Santos highlighted that innovation and technology are essential for decarbonization and sustainability, especially in agriculture and industry. Brazil has also expanded technological partnerships with Malaysia, strengthening its presence in Asia.².
