Brazilian delegation makes global presence felt as country advances national projects.

Brazil is playing a pivotal role in global technology. While more than 370 Brazilian startups and companies participate in Web Summit Lisbon 2025, one of the world's largest innovation events, the country is also celebrating internal milestones that reinforce its position as a technological development hub in Latin America.

Prominent international presence

The Brazilian delegation at Web Summit Lisbon 2025 represents the strength of the national ecosystem. Serpro, a public technology company, fully sponsored 25 startups to participate in the event, reinforcing its role as a driver of new businesses and a partner in Brazil's digital transformation.

This movement occurs in the context of global economic challenges. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq are operating with volatility, reflecting renewed concerns about the overvaluation of technology sector stocks. Even so, Brazil maintains its pace of innovation.

National innovation accelerating

Domestically, the country is making progress on infrastructure projects. The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) is about to launch the first national 100% satellite developed in Brazil, scheduled for the end of November. The equipment will be dedicated to climate monitoring, aligning with the country's environmental commitments.

Simultaneously, Santos hosts the first edition of Digital Week, an event that brings together more than 100 speakers, including the CEO of WhatsApp, with free admission. The event, held between November 13th and 14th, consolidates the city as a hub for discussion on innovation and technology.

Investment in green technology

Embrapii, the agency that promotes industrial innovation, presented a project at COP30 with an investment of approximately R$153 million in green technologies for strategic sectors. This initiative reflects Brazil's priority of reconciling technological development with sustainability.

Furthermore, the National Innovation Journey for Industry, promoted by CNI and Sebrae, travels the country driving the green and digital transition of Brazilian companies.

Evolving regulatory context

In the regulatory field, the Brazilian Supreme Court published a 1,323-page ruling on changes to the Brazilian Internet Bill of Rights, a document that compiles the justices' votes and the legal principles approved by the Court. The decision marks an important milestone in defining the Brazilian digital legal framework.

International strategic partnerships

Business deals are also gaining momentum. Snapchat partnered with Perplexity for artificial intelligence integration, with Perplexity paying R$ 2.1 billion over a year, through cash and equity in the platform.

What changes for you?

These movements directly impact the Brazilian market. Advances in national technology reduce external dependence, generate skilled jobs, and position Brazil as an exporter of tech solutions. The massive presence at Web Summit Lisbon expands international business opportunities for Brazilian startups, while projects like the national satellite strengthen the country's technological sovereignty.
