In 2026, Brazil will raise the recommended age for using messaging apps to 12, social media to 16, and artificial intelligence chatbots to 14. This measure is part of the new digital regulatory framework that requires platforms to verify users' ages and prevent children from accessing inappropriate content.<\/p>\n

This change impacts large companies such as Apple, Google, Meta, and TikTok, which will have to adapt their systems to comply with the requirements of the Digital Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA Digital).<\/p>\n

Despite the progress, recent research indicates that 671% of Brazilian companies have not yet adapted to the digital tax reform, failing to use automatic validation tools, which can lead to delays and tax inconsistencies.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, AI startups are creating "deathbots," robots that allow users to converse with deceased individuals, transforming memories into commercial products, which raises ethical and privacy concerns.<\/p>\n
