The amount approved in just nine months equals all the credit approved in 2023, demonstrating the acceleration of public investments in technology.

Since 2023, the two institutions have allocated R$ 57.7 billion to support projects for digitization, modernization and development of disruptive technologies, such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors[1]. This amount is 209% higher than the credit approvals for innovation in industry between 2019 and 2022 (R$ 18.6 billion), highlighting the shift in the level of public investment in innovation.

Brazilian startups conquer the international stage.

Embratur took eight Brazilian startups to Web Summit Lisboa 2025, one of the world's largest technology and entrepreneurship events, which took place from November 10 to 13[2]. The selected companies — Bebook, Dexcap (Ribus), Compensei Sustentabilidade, Bio Fábrica de Corais, Vórtex, Greenant, Neurosense and Janoo — were chosen by the innovation programs “Destino Futuro” and “Pré-AceleraTur”, developed by EmbraturLAB.

The startups presented solutions focused on ESG, data intelligence and personalized tourism experiences, reinforcing the country's creative and technological potential in the sustainable tourism sector[2].

Brazilian agribusiness shines at European trade fair.

Nine Brazilian companies participated in Agritechnica 2025, the largest agricultural technology fair in Europe, consolidating the country as a global reference in innovative solutions[3]. The national pavilion presented more than five agricultural machines and implements, including planters, harvesters and systems with selective spraying.

Special mention goes to the SaveFarm® solution, which uses advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithms to accurately identify weeds[3]. The system is already part of the production routine of more than 200 farms in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina, reducing herbicide use by up to 95%.

Brazil leads global plan for open technologies.

At COP30, the Ministry of Digital Management and Innovation (MGI) launched the Solutions Acceleration Plan (PAS) in Digital Public Infrastructures and Digital Public Goods for the climate[4]. The global initiative, led by Brazil in partnership with Norway, India, Co-Develop and DPGA, proposes the sharing of public technologies between countries in an open format.

The CAR, transformed into a Digital Public Asset, exemplifies how technological innovation can be a concrete tool for sustainability and development[4]. Minister Esther Dweck highlighted that well-planned technologies reduce costs, increase efficiency and improve people's lives, uniting innovation, sustainability and social justice.

The insurance sector is betting on digital transformation.

The CQCS Innovation 2025, held on November 11 and 12 in São Paulo, brought together companies such as Europ Assistance Brasil to discuss the future of the assistance and insurance sector[5]. The event reinforced the industry's commitment to innovation and sustainable development of the insurance ecosystem in Brazil.

Photo by Jin-Woo Lee on Unsplash

Brazil consolidates its leading role in innovation during a week of international events.
