The Brazilian financial market continues to rise.<\/h2>\n

Government expands protection for companies against US tariffs.<\/h2>\n

The Ministries of Finance and Development, Industry, Trade and Services published on Wednesday (12) Ordinance 21, which significantly expands access to the Sovereign Brazil Plan. The initiative offers emergency financing lines to companies affected by tariffs imposed by the United States.<\/p>\n

The change drastically reduces the eligibility criteria. Now, companies that have 1% of export revenue to the US impacted<\/strong> Those who qualify through tariffs can access the program. Banks face pressure on third-quarter results.<\/h2>\n

Banco do Brasil reported weak results in the third quarter of 2025, with earnings before tax (EBT) 11% below expectations. The deterioration was driven by increased provisions, pressured by the postponement of renegotiations in the rural segment.<\/p>\n

Asset quality deteriorated, particularly in rural credit and retail portfolios, leading the bank to revise its profit guidance downwards and raise its provision forecast. Non-performing loan indicators rose across the board, limiting visibility for recovery in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n
